April 9: The opening of the new Bruce D. Nesbitt African American Cultural Center (BNAACC) building at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign was held. It’s located at 1212 W. Nevada, Urbana, IL.
August 15 – The University of Illinois Police Department signed an agreement with the NAACP of Champaign County adopting the Ten Shared Principles for Building Trust between law enforcement and the communities and people they serve.
